Francis Herrbold MD
Francis Herrbold MD has earned numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career. He established the prestigious Mark W. Herrbold Memorial Award, a University of Florida endowment award presented annually to a medical student who demonstrates exceptional dedication and perseverance in pursuing their medical education. He was also selected for the Heart to Heart mission trip in the Dominican Republic twice in 2016 and 2019. Notably, he was honored as a Golden Scalpel Recipient in 2003 and has consistently ranked among the top 100 Cardiovascular Surgeons, showcasing his commitment to excellence in patient care and surgical outcomes.
When not performing life-saving surgeries, he loves boating and fishing, hobbies he picked up from his Father. He is also an active member of Florida Fun Fishers. He cherishes the peace and freedom he experiences while boating and fishing and values the camaraderie of the fishing club.
Besides his job and hobbies, he has been actively involved in charitable endeavors. Along with supporting Tunnels to Towers, he is also a generous donor to the Mark Herrbold Memorial Award and the University of Florida Endowment.
He contributes substantially to cardiovascular surgery while harmoniously balancing his personal life and hobbies. His dedication to his profession and commitment to the community inspire many.
